Current Volunteer opportunities:

MENTORING: We need both male & female mentors. We work with many Hispanic men & women so, while not required, if you are bilingual, even better! We offer training classes so you don't have to worry that you won't know what to do or say. Most mentoring is done at the jail by video monitor. Mentors pray with their mentees, listen and offer encouragement, explain processes, &
help them make a plan for success after their release. We require one 15-30
minute visit per week with each inmate you choose to mentor. In addition, there would be 2 mentor team meetings per month...one virtual and one in person.

WEEKLY TEACHING OPPORTUNITIES
(IN JAIL):

Either Friday mornings or Friday afternoons; requires a 16-week commitment.  Inquire for more info...other days may be available.

The Isaiah 61:1 Project

We connect the incarcerated with tools to ensure a successful re-entry while mentoring them with spiritually based principles. PLEASE NOTE: We currently serve only those in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center.
